5 Must-See Shows in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

One of our favorite things to do in the Wizarding World is to grab a nice snack and watch a show. There are several across both Hogsmeade and Diagon Ally. These performances are great for all ages and will add an extra dash of magic to your trip. Read below to Discover 5 Must-See Shows in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

1. Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees

By far our favorite must-see show in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is Celestina and Warbeck and the Banshees. We love to grab a treat before the show and sit on the pavement, waiting for her to arrive. The show takes place in the middle of Diagon Ally, which only adds to the magic. And during the Christmas season they make the show extra festive with new costumes, songs and snow!

2. The Frog Choir

The Frog Choir show takes place just outside Hogwarts in Hogsmeade village. If you’ve seen the third Harry Potter film then you may recall large frogs joining the choir to sing Double Double Toil and Trouble. It’s fun to watch those frogs join the Hogwarts students in person.

3. The Tales of Beedle the Bard

My favorite show in the Wizarding World (other than Celestina), is The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Prior to the pandemic, you could watch multiple stories from the book, but now they primary focus on the Tale of the Three Brothers. Although I do love the telling of this story and the puppets they use are incredible, I do hope they bring back the other stories as well.

4. Triwizard Spirit Rally

The Triwizard Spirit Rally is a chance to see students from both Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. They perform acts similar to the fourth film. And this show takes place next to Howgwarts Castle, which always adds a little something to the show.

5. The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle

The Nighttime Lights Show at Hogwarts Castle is one that we often miss, because our daughter is so little and it’s hard for her to hang in for fireworks or a light show. However, if you are able to make it to the end of the day then I highly recommend finding a good spot out of the way and enjoying the magic. The Christmas show is our favorite, but the Halloween time light show is also spectacular and spooky. Remember to arrive early, because the space fills up quickly!
