Animal Kingdom is full of fun rides, delicious foods and fantastic animals, but did you know about their shows? We can’t go to the park without seeing at least one. Read all about five Wonderful Shows to Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom below!
1. Harambe Village Acrobats
You don’t need to wait in line for the Harambe Village Acrobats! They perform throughout the day in front of Zuri’s Sweet Shop. It’s always so amazing to see people perform acrobatics. And this show is fun for kids of all ages.
2. Festival of the Lion King
Festival of the Lion King is an incredible, 30 minute broadway-level musical show about the first Lion King film. It’s without a doubt our daughters favorite show. There’s dancing, singing and beautiful acrobatics. The props and costumes are stunning. Definitely a must-see when going to Animal Kingdom!
Pro Tip: If you don’t want to get a lightning lane for this show, then I recommend grabbing a little snack to eat in line and come 30-40 minutes early. That way you get a good seat!
3. Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!
The Big Blue and Beyond is such an underrated show in Animal Kingdom. I’ve heard multiple people say it’s one to skip, but when we finally got to see it last year I was absolutely blown away. The puppeteering and set design is just stunning. Not to mention you get to sit in the air conditioning. I highly recommend giving this show a try, especially if you enjoyed the films.
4. It’s Tough to Be a Bug
The only show we haven’t had the opportunity to see is It’s Tough to be a Bug. To be honest, I’m a little worried my three-year-old won’t like it. I’ve heard the bugs and loud effects make kids cry… so I suppose see this one at your own risk?
5. Viva Gaia Street Band
My husband loves to stop and watch the Viva Gaia Street Band, which plays throughout the day outside the Discovery Trading Company. They are a multi-cultural troupe that sings a variety of Disney tunes. What I love about this show is how it gets people out of their shells. I’ve seen dads and grandparents just let loose and dance like no one’s watching. It’s one of the magical things about Disney.
