1. Find a Quality Travel Stroller

The first step in setting up your stroller for a theme park is to find a quality stroller. We used an umbrella stroller for our first couple of trips to Disney World, and it was fine. It didn’t store much and fell apart faster, but it was fine. I had no idea what I was missing until we bought the Contours Bitsy Elite.

My daughter is almost four years old and still fits well in this stroller. It drives smoothly through crowds and I can both push and collapse it with one hand. Now although I highly recommend this stroller, I just want you to find what works best for your family. Just know that a good stroller can be a game changer.

2. Add a Drink Carrier

Having nowhere to put your water bottle is just irritating. It’s nice to have things easily accessible for you and the kids. We bought a stroller caddy from Petunia Pickle Bottom and now I can’t go back to storing bottles under the stroller. It feels like such a luxury, and if you’ve pushed around a stroller for the day then you know exactly what I mean.

3. Get a Hook for Extra Bags

If you’re in a theme park you are likely doing some shopping, so I have found that a carabiner can come in handy. You can get simple ones from most stores or even mickey shaped ones from Target or Amazon. These type of hooks can be so helpful in keeping things organized in the parks or as you get on and off transportation.

4. Attach Lights or a Sign

My final tip in How to Set Up Your Stroller for a Theme Park is to add some sort of marker. Depending on the theme park you are in, your stroller might get lost in a sea of other very similar strollers. I have found that tying a ribbon or attaching fairy lights to my stroller helps us find it no matter where we are in the park.

Bonus tip: If you are able to add an Apple Air Tag to some hidden part of your stroller, that is another way to keep track of it should it be moves by cast or team member.
