bestillandwrite The highlight of our trip to California this year may have been California Adventure. We loved so many parts of this park! Though we weren’t a fan of Disneyland as a whole, if we ever make it back to Anaheim, it will be for this park. Read about the 6 Things You Can’t Miss in California Adventure below!
1. Pym’s Test Kitchen
Some of the best food we had on Disney property was at Pym’s Test Kitchen. Sam loved the Pepper Particle Pasta, Chelsea was a fan of the Not so Little Chicken Sandwich and Ronia thoroughly enjoyed her PB&J Flavor Lab. The theming was incredible and if we ever end up back at California Adventure, we will definitely be going back to Pym’s.
2. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout
Colton and Sam rode the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, formally the Tower of Terror. They loved it and highly recommend! Especially if you love the Guardians franchise.
3. Animation Academy
One of the highlights of our trip as a family was the Animation Academy. The entire building was breathtaking and makes you appreciate the art of animation and all those who helped create our most beloved films. The Animation Class was also very fun for all of us and we wished we had more time to go to multiple classes.
4. Meet Characters on Pixar Pier
Throughout the day on Pixar Pier there are several Pixar characters wandering about and doing meet-and-greets. We were able to meet Sadness, Ember and Wade. They were all three worth the wait.
5. Monsters Inc. Mike and Sully to the Rescue!
One of our favorite family rides of the trip was Monsters Inc. Ronia has loved this film since she was one year old, so the nostalgia was strong. I thought the theming was wonderful and would definitely ride this ride again.
6. Web Slingers: A Spider Man Adventure
Another of our favorite rides was Web Slingers. This ride went down early in the day and we lost our lightning lane. After a couple hours I was worried we weren’t going to have time to ride it, but it finally came back up as an option. Web slinging is pretty hard work! Ronia absolutely loved the chaos of this ride and was determined to help Spider Man locate all the loose spiders around Avengers Campus.
