We ate at the Polite Pig for the first time this weekend, and it is officially my new favorite restaurant near Disney World. The food was so delicious we talked about it for a week afterward. If you are looking for a good restaurant to try in Orlando, please add this one to your list. Read below to discover What Foods You Need to Try at the Polite Pig.
1. The Chef’s Special
The Polite Pig has a chef’s special that changes every month, and this month my husband decided to give it a try. He raved and raved about it and said it was the best thing he ate the entire trip.
This month the special is “Pork Belly Diri Kolepwanwa – a delightful dance of sweet pork belly paired perfectly with Diri Kolepwanwa (rice and black beans) and jalapeño slaw.”
2. The Slider Trio
The slider trio includes the “Southern Pig,” Low and Slow Brisket, and Fried Chicken. Each of these sliders were absolutely delicious. I had trouble choosing which one was my favorite!
3. Southern Potato Salad
I have a friend who makes the very best potato salad, but this one comes close to hers. It wasn’t super creamy like some potato salads can be and had just the right amount of dill.
4. Mac & Cheese
The Polite Pig has the best mac & cheese I’ve ever had. Ever. It was so good that even though I was completely full I kept eating it. And I regret nothing.
