Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Hollywood Studios is one of our favorite restaurants on Disney World property. It might be the Kansan in me, but I do love a good BBQ meal. If you are planning a Disney trip, I recommend adding this restaurant to your plans. Read more about the 5 Reasons You Need to Try Roundup Rodeo BBQ below.
1. Delicious Food
The food at Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Hollywood Studios is actually really delicious. I especially love the biscuits and ribs. The food is served family style, so it’s easy to kind of pick and choose what you like and try new things. And there are great options for kids.
2. Interactive Meal
At Roundup Rodeo BBQ, you discover what it is like to be one of Andy’s toys. Throughout the meal the other toys will make various announcements and warn you if Andy is coming back to the room. When you hear him coming everyone in the restaurant freezes and waits for him to leave again, just as though you were a toy. The interactive meal is so fun for adults and kids alike.
3. Nostalgia
I grew up watching Toy Story, so eating at this themed restaurant is so nostalgic. There are fun details around the entire restaurant that are fun to look at. Even the plates look like those old fashioned crinkled paper plates. The nostalgia alone might be worth eating at Roundup.
4. Take a Break
Another good reason to eat at this iconic Toy Story restaurant is to get a break. Soak up some air conditioning and sit down for a more relaxed moment in the middle of your busy day. Your feet will thank you later.
5. Making a Memory
My final reason for eating at Roundup Rodeo BBQ is to make more memories. On our last trip we were able to eat at Roundup with some friends, and although the kids were tired and my daughter was a little cranky, she still talks about the meal. We still pretend that “Andy’s coming” at home during meal times. There’s something special about eating a meal around the table as a family.
