Essentials for Your Disney World Park Bag (Toddler Edition)

My husband and I have been to our fair share of theme parks with and without our toddler. Below are our Essentials for Your Disney World Park Bag (Toddler Edition). This list was created for parents of potty trained toddlers, though it would be easy to add a couple more items and call it a diaper bag. If you are planning a trip to Disney, I hope this list will help you in the process!

what to pack in your bag for Disney World

1. Bubble Wand

The number one thing I chose to include in our Essentials for Your Disney World Park Bag (Toddler Edition) is a bubble wand. You can buy them ahead of time to save a little money, and I cannot tell you how much of a lifesaver they were on park days. Our toddler does not like to ride in the stroller, but with a bubble wand she was more than happy to cruise along. LOVE them.

2. Snacks

When you are traveling with a toddler, you can never have enough snacks. Paying for snacks in the park can get pricy, and if your toddler is anything like mine then they are hungry all the time. (Also, pro tip: having a couple of suckers or fruit snacks on hand for long waits can be helpful.)

3. Charger Packs

We purchased charger packs called FuelRods on Amazon before our trip. Disney has FuelRod stations in the park, which are perfect for keeping your phones and other electronics charged. If your charger pack runs out of juice, you can just exchange it for a fully charged one at no cost.

4. Toys

Waiting in line or sitting for a meal can make your toddler restless, so be sure to pack a few toys. It might even be a good idea to pack something your toddler rarely gets to play with or a toy that’s brand new! A few ideas include:

LCD Color Pad
Disney Princess Sticker Book
Castle Pop it
Animal Flash Cards

5. Change of Clothes

Our daughter is potty trained, so we chose to pack a couple extra pairs of underwear and an extra outfit just in case. You might also have to change clothes if a big mess is made or your toddler gets soaked at a splash pad. It’s always a good idea to have a spare set of clothes on hand.

6. Sunscreen & Sanitizer

Do NOT forget to reapply sunscreen throughout the day! It is Florida, after all. It might also be a good idea to pack sanitizer, because there a lot of high-touch zones at Disney World.

7. Wipes

If there is one thing you should never forget to pack in your Disney park bag it is wet wipes. I actually packed sanitizing wipes in our bag as well, because… germs.

8. Reusable Bags

Reusable bags are excellent for storing snacks you don’t finish or to keep the contents of your bag better organized. I found some cute ones on Amazon that we used in our park bag. I also recommend bringing a reusable tote, because Disney is going away with plastic bags at the parks. If you buy souvenirs, you might need an extra bag in which to store them.

9. Reusable Water Bottle

Rather than buying water bottles, it’s a good idea to bring reusable water bottles for your toddler and yourself. That something I wish we had done on our last trip. My daughter had a bottle, but it would have been nice to have them for the adults as well.

10. Magic Bands

Okay, technically your magic bands will be on your wrist, but it’s always a good reminder. If you don’t have magic bands, be sure you know how you will check-in on rides and such.

11. Wallet & ID

It might seem obvious, but don’t forget to pack your wallet, ID and perhaps some cash. When we were at Magic Kingdom the card machines went down and they were only accepting cash for a couple hours. You just never know.

12. AirTag

An AirTag allows you to track your bag if it is misplaced or stolen. I put one in a discreet place in our bag, because I am known to misplace items… frequently.

Bonus Stroller Items:

A few extra items you could keep in the stroller include a stroller rain cover, rain jackets or ponchos for the family. You could also label your stroller with a ribbon, tag or sign, because strollers get moved at Disney every day.
