Travel can be wearing, especially when you are away from home comforts for too long. One of my first travel blog posts was about how to make your hotel feel more like home. Well I thought it was about time that blog post got a little update. It doesn’t take much to make things more comfy. Read the NEW How to Make a Hotel like Home below!

1. Unpack
This might sound silly, but if you are staying in your hotel room for more than a couple of days… unpack your suitcase. Put your clothes in a drawer and hang things in the closet. It’s a small thing that will make a big difference.
2. Bring a Blanket
Hotel rooms can be really chilly, and typically have thin sheets and blankets. I recommend bringing your own blanket if you tend to get cold. My daughter has a specific blanket we always bring for travel and it makes her feel much more at home.

3. Pack Pajamas
If you don’t own a pair of real pajamas, please go get some. They make everything much cozier.
4. Don’t Forget Skincare
Now to be completely honest I don’t have a long skin care routine. A few simple products are what is best for my skin. However, travel can dry out your skin so fast. Especially when you fly. So I recommend bringing some kind of skin care or moisturizer at least.
