We spent our ten year anniversary at the Magnolia Market Silos, and it was such a dream. Magnolia has been on our bucket list for years now, and it was such a joy to finally see it in person. Read below about our One Day at the Magnolia Silos in Waco, TX.

1. Breakfast at Magnolia Table
Our hotel was in Dallas, so we spent the morning driving down to Waco. A few days before our trip I had made a reservation for lunch at Magnolia Table. To be honest, I wish I had made the reservation for breakfast. The restaurant is located about 7 minutes from the Magnolia Market, so going back and forth can be a little tricky – especially when looking for parking. They also specialize in breakfast, so it would make a great start to the day.
Regardless, the food was amazing and our waitress was so kind to our daughter. It was definitely worth the back and forth.
2. Wandering the Magnolia Market
Before and after our lunch we wandered through the shops around the silos. They had stuff for everyone! We had so much fun looking for gifts and envisioning how to make our home even more cozy.
3. Take a Moment in the Old Church
The Old Church was built in 1894, and served as a house of worship for almost a century, but eventually closed and remained boarded-up and vacant for over 30 years. Chip and Jo had it relocated to the silos and fixed it up (as they do). The church was such a breathtaking space to spend a quiet moment on our busy day.

4. Lemonade and Play Time
One thing you can’t miss at the Silos is lemonade from Pop’s. It’s delicious and slightly addicting. We had so much fun sipping lemonade and watching our daughter run around on the grass. They had lots of outdoor toys ready, which I thought was a nice touch.
5. Food Truck Lunch
If we hadn’t had lunch at Magnolia Table, it would have been so easy to grab a bite at one of the many food trucks on the property. They had plenty of table space, mostly shaded, and lovely background music. It felt like being at someone’s back yard bbq.
6. Take a Tour
One thing we weren’t able to do on our day at the Silos was taking a tour. There are garden tours, tours of the whole Market, as well as a tour of the castle they recently renovated. I would be so interested to hear more about any of these spaces. There wasn’t any availability when we were there, but next time!
7. Grab Dessert to Go!
The last thing we did before leaving Magnolia Market was grab a sweet treat at Magnolia bakery. We were still full from lunch and too much lemonade, but they made excellent snacks for later in the evening. I recommend trying the gluten free chocolate chip, because it was delightful. My husband enjoyed the double chocolate cupcake.

Final Thoughts:
The overall feeling we had while at Magnolia Market was peace. We felt relaxed and calm. It was idyllic for families and I could easily see myself there on a girls trip someday or back with my family. Dallas was a little too chaotic for us, but Waco? We will be back again.
