On our most recent stay at the Grand Floridian, we had the opportunity to stay at the Grand Floridian Cafe. There are so many restaurants at this resort, and so far they have all been nothing but lovely. Even the pickiest of eaters will love something on their menu. Read more in Our Review of the Grand Floridian Cafe below!
1. Food
The food was delicious! We made our reservation for lunch time, but they serve breakfast all day, so we obviously went for breakfast foods. My husband got the chicken and waffles and he said they were crispy and nicely flavored. My daughter got the mickey pancake and fruit. She was obviously thrilled to have such a fancy meal! I ended up choosing the Traditional Eggs Benedict, but exchanged the salad for hash browns. Everything was 10/10.
2. Atmosphere
The Disney website describes the Grand Floridian Cafe as “elegant yet unpretentious,” which I find to be the perfect description. We dressed a little nicer to eat our lunch, but many families wore t-shirts and shorts. It felt as though we were eating at a Victorian cafe or a restaurant from Mary Poppins. Though our table was closer to the entry/exit, it wasn’t too loud or overwhelming.
3. Cast Members
Our waitress was so very kind. Eating with a three-year-old can have its difficulties, but she was understanding. She also knew the menu front and back and gave us great recommendations for future trips. We love Disney cast members!
4. Location
The Grand Floridian Cafe is located inside the Grand Floridian resort. It is by far our most favorite resort on Disney property. We recommend booking this restaurant during your stay at the Grand, but you could also walk over from Magic Kingdom or take the day to enjoy everything this location has to offer.
