Colton recently had the opportunity to visit Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. This amusement park is a must-see place for any roller coaster enthusiasts. If you love a good coaster, be sure to check out The Best Coasters at Cedar Point, rated below!
(Also, fun fact, but Chelsea does not like roller coasters. Therefore all the following information was written by Colton, the Gentry Journeys roller coaster expert.)
5. Steel Vengeance
Steel Vengeance is unbelievably big and fast for being a wooden roller coaster. There were moments when Colton left his seat. He was happy to ride this one at least once, but wouldn’t want to ride it again and again due to it being intense, but not at all smooth. You get bumped around a bit, as you might expect from a wooden coaster.
4. GateKeeper
GateKeeper is the parks first “wing coaster.” Its split structure suspends riders from either side of the track. This is a fun ride for any coaster enthusiast, because it’s very smooth and comfortable. This is a go-to if you need a break from the more abrasive rides.
3. Maverick
While it isn’t the tallest or fastest coaster at Cedar Point, it creates more of a unique experience with all the twists and turns. If it weren’t for the seat being slightly uncomfortable, it would be tied for first place.
2. Valravn
This coaster has a maximum height of 223 feet and a top speed of 75mph. Colton’s favorite part of the ride is at the very top of the list drop. You hang for a second and it’s the best view of the park. It’s also a more comfortable ride.
1. Millennium Force
Number one on our list is the Millennium Force coaster. It’s one of the few giga coasters in the world. What’s a giga coaster? It’s a roller coaster with a height or drop of at least 300 feet and a complete circuit without any stops. Millennium Force is 310 feet tall and has a top speed of 93 mph.
You read that right. 93 mph. Now that’s a coaster.
