bestillandwrite This year was our second annual Halloween Party at Disney World. We rode rides, ate delicious food and had the absolute best time. Read about The Best of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024 below to learn about everything we did.
Also, as a disclaimer, Mickeys Not so Scary is from 7:00pm-12:00am, but you can enter the park at 4:00pm with an event ticket. We had planned on arriving around 4:00pm, but our preschooler had other plans. We ended up arriving around 6:00pm.
6:00pm – Take Pictures
We always try and get a few pictures before we get all sweaty. Florida is hot even for the Halloween party. We dressed as Carl, Kevin and Russel from Up!
6:15pm-7:00pm – Ride Some Rides
I had booked some rides using multi-pass, but we arrived late due to a series of unfortunate events. However, the cast members still honored our selections and we were able to ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the People Mover. Colton also rode Tron.
7:35pm Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
We arrived about 20 minutes before the Villains Spelltacular show started and were able to get a spot right up near the castle stage. This show is incredible and very fun if you love a good Disney villain. The women who play the Sanderson Sisters are hilarious.
8:00pm – Watch Rusty Cutlass & Receive Costume Pins!
After the Spelltacular we wandered our way through Adventure Land and happened upon Rusty Cutlass, which is a band of singing pirates. They were so much fun to watch. We also received “Best Costume” pins from a cast member, which was so unexpected and cool.
8:15pm – Eat Snacks
We’d had a couple snacks before the party, but I was starving at 8:00pm, so we tried a few things from Golden Oak Outpost. The chocolate-caramel tart was rich, but stunning. We also got the Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries, which was so delicious. Ronia and Colton did not like the sweet potato fries, but they are wrong.
9:00pm – Pirates, Characters & Hitchhiking Ghosts
After snacks we rode Pirates of the Caribbean, which was a walk-on, followed by a meet and greet with Aladdin and Abu as well as Moana. Ronia did NOT want to meet Jafar. Then we checked out the hitchhiking ghosts outside of Adventureland.
9:45pm – Monsters Laugh Floor Experience
On our way through Liberty Square it occurred to me that we hadn’t done any Trick or Treating. We stopped at a spot in Liberty square before heading to Monsters Inc Laugh Floor (Ronia’s request). They didn’t have the normal show, but you could walk through for candy and then sit in the auditorium while Mac and Cheese entertained on screen. It was actually really funny and a highlight of the night.
10:30pm – Snacks and Parade Spot
Colton cannot go to Magic Kingdom and avoid Casey’s Corner, so we grabbed some mini corn dogs and found a parade spot. I also looked for a treat in the bakery, but nothing was speaking to me.
11:15pm Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade
Without a doubt the highlight of the Halloween Party is the parade. If you are looking for a spot near the castle, be sure to arrive maybe an hour before it starts. We wanted a spot near the exit and were able to post up outside the Town Square Theatre at about 10:45pm.
