The Best NEW Plane Activities for Kids

My goal on any flight with our preschooler is to use the tablet as little as possible and as a last resort. So on our most recent flights I tried out a few new activities to keep her entertained. Some were a home-run, while others simply flopped. Read more about The Best NEW Plane Activities for Kids below!

1. Push and Peel Sensory Board

The absolute favorite toy of our latest travel was this push and peel sensory board. What I love about this toy is three fold. It’s small/easy to pack, reusable, and helps my daughter develop her fine motor skills. I recommend this to everyone now.

2. Mini Magnetic Tiles Set

If your little one likes magna-tiles, then you will want to snag the travel version. They come in a little tin case, so are easy to keep organized. I loved how compact they were and versatile.

3. Sensory Sorting Toy

This is another toy that can help develop fine motor skills. My daughter was on the fence about it at first, but I can tell the sorting toy is growing on her. It was a good one to keep in our park bag as well.

4. Melissa and Doug Sticker Wow

Another favorite on our latest trips is the sticker wow. My daughter loves the water wow as well, but the sticker wow is fun and unique. It’s unfortunately not really reusable, but you can use the sticker stamp on anything – not just the book, so that’s nice.

5. Magnetic Drawing Board

We love our LCD drawing board, but the magnetic board was a new unique way to keep her attention on this trip. It jingles a little in the bag, but is compact enough to not take up much space.

6. Magnetic Dress-up Dolls

The final item in our list of The Best NEW Plane Activities for Kids is a magnetic dress-up set. It was very cute, but tricky to use on the plane. I think this would work better as a car or hotel activity. I like that it came in a tin, so you can keep all the pieces organized together.
