The Perfect Day at Disney World: Animal Kingdom

Welcome to a brand new blog series I will be doing about the perfect day at each park. In this series, I will be sharing what I imagine to be the perfect day at each individual Disney park. I’m going to leave the comments open on this one, so be sure to share what things will make up The Perfect Day at Disney World: Animal Kingdom.

(Keep in mind that my perfect day at Magic Kingdom includes the following: my husband, sister, 3-year-old daughter, coordinating outfits and decent weather. It’s the ideal day!)

7:30am – Rope Drop Na’vi River

8:15am – Pictures by the Tree of Life

9:00am – Kilimanjaro Safaris

10:45am – The Animation Experience

12:00pm – Watch Festival of the Lion King

1:00pm – Lunch at Flametree BBQ

Normally around this time of day we would head back for a mid-day break, but this is an ideal day. Animal Kingdom closes early, so I would try and stay at the park all day in order to enjoy all our favorite things. Then we’d do an early bedtime. So, for lunch we would stop at FlameTree BBQ for their epic bbq pork mac and cheese.

2:00pm – Watch Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!

As long as we ate quickly, or maybe got our food to go, I think we could make it to watch another epic show in Animal Kingdom.

3:00pm – Walk the Maharajah Jungle Trek

Assuming it wasn’t too hot that day, I would love to stroll through the Maharajah Jungle Trek and learn a bit more about the animals. That walking path is always so soothing.

4:00pm – Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail

It might be nice to also walk the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. We’ve actually never made it down this trail, and I would love to try it.

5:00pm – Dinner at Satu’li Canteen

To end the day I would grab dinner at Satu’li Canteen. We love almost everything on the menu there, but I think I would get cheeseburger pods. After Dinner I would wander Pandora. It’s so beautiful at night.
