Welcome to a brand new blog series I will be doing about the perfect day at each park. In this series, I will be sharing what I imagine to be the perfect day at each individual Disney park. I’m going to leave the comments open on this one, so be sure to share what things will make up The Perfect Day at Disney World: Hollywood Studios.
(Keep in mind that my perfect day at Hollywood Studios includes the following: my husband, sister, 3-year-old daughter, coordinating outfits and decent weather. It’s the ideal day!)
8:30am – Utilize Early Entry
Whenever we stay at a Disney resort, I try to take advantage of the early entry option. It’s especially helpful when you have little kids who aren’t great with chaos. We used to get mickey waffles at scoops during early entry, but alas… they are no longer there.
9:00am – Meet Characters
Assuming my daughter is with me, we would get in line to meet a few characters. Maybe Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, Chewy and Darth Vader… anything near Animation Courtyard. We could also meet the Incredibles, Edna Mode or a Toy Story character on our way to Star Wars.
10:00am – Go to Galaxy’s Edge for Blue Milk at Oga’s
One thing we never skip at Hollywood Studios is Blue Milk. It’s a family favorite. Ideally we’d love to get a spot in Oga’s Cantina, but even getting some blue milk at the stand and walking around Galaxy’s Edge is fun. If you love Star Wars, you know.
11:00am – Lunch at Docking Bay 7
Docking Bay 7 has some great Star-Wars themed food options, so we would likely choose to eat there or at Ronto Roasters for lunch.
11:30am – Rise of the Resistance
Rise of the Resistance is my favorite ride in all of Disney World. It’s such an immersive experience. If I’m traveling with my husband or sister than we always snag a lightning lane for this one.
1:00pm – Head back for Mid-Day Break
Everyone is happier when they get a mid-day break. For an ideal day at Hollywood Studios we would be staying somewhere like Pop Century, Riviera or Art of Animation. They are all on the skyline route and easier to use for transportation.
4:00pm – Check Out Shops & Grab a Snack
On our way back into the parks it might be nice to walk through the shops and grab a little snack to take in to the stage show.
5:00pm – Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage
Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage is such an underrated stage show. My daughter and I saw it on our most recent trip to Disney and we were both obsessed. It’s now a must.
6:30pm – Mickey and Minnies Lightning Lane & Toy Story Mania
The other two rides I would choose to ride are Mickey and Minnies and Toy Story Mania. I’m just not a coaster girl…
7:30pm – Dinner at Roundup Rodeo BBQ
We have had such a good experience each time we’ve dined at Roundup Rodeo BBQ. The theming is amazing, food is delicious and it’s such a great place to take kids.
8:30pm – Fantasmic
Finally I would end our night seeing Fantasmic. To be honest, as of this moment I have yet to see the show, but it’s on our bucket list for the next trip. I can’t wait!
