Last year the Minions Land at Universal Studios Orlando got a fun expansion. Our daughter loves the minions, so we were excited to experience the changes they made. I wrote about the food at Illumination Cafe, but never got around to sharing our thoughts about the rest of the area. Read below to discover What to See in Minions Land at Universal Studios.
1. Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast
Join the minions as they encounter the Vicious 6 and blast your way to victory. Minion Blast is a fun ride for the whole family. They even have smaller blasters for young kids! If you love the minion movies, then this ride is a must. The queue is full of Easter eggs from the films and I believe you can even collect loot through the Universal app? So fun.
2. Meet the Characters
One of our favorite things to do in Minions Land is meet the minions, Gru and the girls. The schedule for these meet and greets can be found on the Universal app. The lines are never too long and it’s always worth it to see how excited our three year old is to see them.
3. Food!
The Illuminations Minions Cafe was a bit of a mixed bag on our last trip to Universal. However, I will be going back for Mel’s Meatball Mountain, which is a wood oven baked stuffed pizza. It was absolutely delicious. There are also fun themed treats at Bake My Day, Freeze Ray Pops, and Pop-a-Nana. At Pop-a-Nana they do in fact have banana flavored popcorn. While in Minions Land, you need to eat like a minion, right?
