Disney World in January is much different than the rest of the year. It’s far chillier than I could have imagined, and the humidity doesn’t help. Personally, I thought it was a lovely change, but many people in the parks were not loving the cold. If you are planning a winter trip to the happiest place on earth, then this pot is for you. Read more below about What to Pack for Disney World in January.

1. Hats & Gloves
I never would have thought we would need things like stocking caps and gloves in Florida, but it was pretty chilly during our January trip. You might not need them mid day, but early mornings and evenings are a different story.
2. Sweatshirts/Jackets
Layers are ideal at Disney World in January. Packing things like sweatshirts and jackets give you the option to add or remove layers as the temperature fluctuates throughout the day.
3. Coat
Yes, there were days during our trip that I needed not just a sweatshirt, but a winter coat. The humidity in Florida makes the cold more intense than other parts of the US. I recommend bringing one just in case. Especially if you plan to stay out late.

4. Rain Gear
It’s Florida, so there’s almost always rain. There’s nothing worse than being cold and wet at the same time. Don’t forget things like rain jackets/ponchos and stroller covers!
Bonus: Small Blanket
One thing that might have been nice to have is a small blanket for my daughter. When she was riding in the stroller sometimes the wind would be a little bitter. It would also be handy during parades or waiting in an outdoor line.
