Fun fact, I do not care for roller coasters. I’ve tried several times, but for some reason they make me cry. That being said, I still love going to theme parks! Why? Because there’s so much more to do there then just ride coasters. Read below to discover What to Do at Universal if You Hate Roller Coasters.
1. Eat Delicious Food
I am a part of a family of foodies. We love trying all the new eats and treats throughout the parks. If you don’t like to ride coasters, then why not get your steps in and eat some yummy theme park food?
2. Go to a Show
One of my favorite things to do when we go to Universal is see the shows. I particularly like those in the Wizarding World, but there are fun things to watch all over the parks. Just check the app for times near your location or talk to a team member.
Oh, and don’t forget about the parades that take place around Christmas! They have balloons like the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade and it’s wonderful to witness.
3. Do a Little Shopping
There are so many places to shop throughout Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and City Walk. You could spend your entire day just shopping and you may not see it all.
4. Try Other Rides
There are plenty of rides in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure that aren’t roller coasters. You could ride the Hogwarts Express, the water ride in Jurassic Park or even King Kong. Try out some of those non-coaster rides!
5. Meet Characters!
Meeting characters isn’t just for kids! Last time we were at Universal Studios they had a John Hammond meet-and-greet. You know, John Hammond? The creator of Jurassic Park? It was glorious.
