1. Lovely Atmosphere
Summer House on the Lake is a coastal-themed restaurant and is the idyllic place to eat a meal with family. I found myself wondering if I could decorate my own home in a similar fashion. It was a beautiful space.
2. Delicious Food
As for the food, my husband, daughter and I tried a few items on the menu. We started with the prime beef meatballs as an appetizer. Meatballs can sometimes be dry, but these were moist and the sauce was a 10/10. Our waitress recommended the breakfast tostadas and I have to say they were amazing. If you love Mexican food and breakfast, then this dish is a must-try. Also, why don’t I eat tostadas more often? Finally, my husband and daughter tried the picnic fried chicken basket (chicken strips and fries), which they both enjoyed.
3. Great Service
Our waitress was very knowledgable about the menu, kind to our preschooler and always ready to help us if we needed anything. They had a full house during lunch that day, but we were well looked after. The manager also made a stop by our table to check in, so all-in-all the service was impeccable.
4. Cookies!!
The final reason you should try Summer House on the Lake is for the cookies. When you think of Disney Springs you might think of Gideons, but Summer House has a large variety of cookies at the bakery in the front of the restaurant. They even have gluten-free options! We bought a few to take home with us and they didn’t make it off the plane. The Birthday Cake cookie was light and buttery and the M&M cookie had an excellent candy/cookie ratio. We will definitely be back.
